I'm an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Emory University. My research focuses broadly on civil conflict and autocratic politics. I use formal models to study the causes of political violence and its implications for migration, foreign intervention, and the stability of authoritarian regimes.
Previously, I was the Starr Foundation National Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University (2025-2026). I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and was a visiting graduate student in the political science department at the University of Rochester.
